Red Dawn
Red dawn is a true action packed movie, this movie is based on North Korea trying to take the United States goverment over. North Korea takes over for a matter of weeks capturing civillians and making them go to concentration camps for no reason. But they didnt capture about 7 or 8 teens. The teens are hiding from the North Korean army in the woods at a old hunting cabin. They gather all the supplies they need and head out to get the things they need. The teens parents were captured and some killed right in front of them. The teens and some Navy Seals start a group called the Wolverines they start picking them off one by one and taking back our goverment. The wolverines inspire other citizens to start rebelling and trying to take back over.
Some of the main characters in Red Dawn are Chris Hemsworth who plays as the leader of the wolverines, Josh Peck who is the leaders brother who gets his girlfriend captured and risks everyones lifes. Josh Hutcherson who is just one of Chris Hemsworth's friends who cracks open from his shell and becomes a leader. Chris Hemsworth did a great job leading his gang and showing them right from wrong. Josh Peck did a great job in protecting his team and family.
In this movie they meet up with former marines in the middle of the woods in there hideout wich they walk up on. The marines have been searching for there team ever since North Korea took over. Mostly looking in the woods the marines find there old cabin that had been burned and somehow track down the gang and join them. The wolverines dont know what to think at first but once they prove their real marines they let them join.
There is another older version of red dawn that I would recomend watching too, some people liked the old version better some liked the newer version from what I have heard the new one has more action. Action is something I deffinteitley like in a movie it makes it intresting. Once I get the chance if I ever do I will go see the old Red Dawn and post another review comparing the two movies.
Overall this movie is just on the line of a A+ it would be if it didnt have such a horrible ending. So overall i would give this movie a A-. Just because of the ending not having much to do with the rest of the movie. If you haven't gone to see the movie I would deffinetley go see it or rent it.
